In Mira Loma California, we have some job opportunities that could possibly be a good fit for someone who has an interest and understands the railroad industry. It is an Auto Rack facility for the UP and we handle all of the switching. We are looking for some candidates that have strong computer skills, communication skills, motivational skills, and an understanding of how the railroad works. They are stationed at a computer and communicate with the crews when the trains are coming in from the UP. Directing which cars need to be switched and building the outbound trains. They are basically the leader of the whole yard. It is a perfect position for someone who loves the railroad industry but does not want the physical aspect of it.
