New Maintenance of Way Equipment

"Modoc Northern Railroad received the backbone of our engineering department this past week. Arriving on the property was a Jackson 6700 tamper, Knox 850 ballast regulator, Jackson 925SS tie inserter, and a Jackson tie crane. Although none of the equipment is factory new, all machinery is late model equipment and each has received a comprehensive shopping. Acquired, but not yet on the property are two new Knox material handling/crew machines (due to arrive in September). New Hi-rail gear and truck are sheduled to arrive within two weeks.

"Engineering employees have been given a difficult task relating to maintenance of the Lakeview Branch, and have been performing miraculously with limited assets. Take note of how this group of talented individuals progress with good equipment and material."

--Don Blansett, Vice President - Operations, Modoc Northern Railroad Company
